Welcome to the fourth edition of UKRAINETT News. In this issue, we are pleased to announce that the Norwegian Research Council will support Ukrainian researchers and research on Ukraine with NOK 60 million through collaborations with the Ukrainian Research Council (NRFU). This highly welcome initiative introduces several new measures to bolster Ukrainian research, both in the immediate and long-term future.
Please mark your calendars for our upcoming UKRAINETT+ conference, “The War and Beyond: Perspectives on Ukrainian Culture and Society." The conference scheduled for October 14-15 is organized by our dedicated colleagues at the University of Bergen. The call for paper is open and the deadline is 1 May.
This spring, we invite you to join our two upcoming seminars: “How (Not) to Study a War-Affected Society: Challenges of Knowledge Production in Ukraine and Elsewhere” on 10 April, and “Understanding Russia’s Occupation: In Conversation with Karolina Hird, Jade McGlynn, and Jaroslava Barbieri”, organized together with the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies, on 26 May.
In this newsletter we are also excited to present a brand new Ukrainian newsletter from our colleagues at the Faculty of Sociology at Karazin Kharkiv University.
